According to the names announced on January 6, 2022, by the organizers of the Regeneron pcr machine Talent Search 2022 competition, there are approximately 79 Indian-American students among the 300 high school seniors who have been named Nation's Toop Scientists in the competition.

The 300 scholars come from a variety of countries, including the United States, Switzerland, and Singapore, in addition to representing 185 American and international high schools across 37 states. A total of three different high school student groups are representing students from three different high schools in the area.

In the coming year, a wide range of topics will be investigated in research projects, including tracking countries' progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals, examining the impact of individual state COVID-19 responses, improving Alzheimer's disease diagnostic tools, and examining the effects of virtual learning on educational outcomes, to name a few examples.

They will compete for a share of more than $1.8 million in cash and prizes, which will be awarded to the winners, over the course of a week-long competition that will take place from March 10 to March 16.

More than a hundred awards and honors have been bestowed upon alumni of the program, including 13 Nobel Prizes, 11 National Medals of Science, six Breakthrough Prizes, 22 MacArthur Fellowships, and two Field Prizes, among many other distinctions and honors.
