This year's wild finale to the regular season threw the Big Ten rankings off their feet—and may have set the tone for what will be an equally frenetic five days in Indianapolis.

This year's Big Ten tournament bracket has been finalized, with two huge shocks by road underdogs highlighted by Sunday's play. In the first game, Michigan defeated rival Ohio State in Columbus, and in the second, Nebraska defeated first-place Wisconsin, 74–73, denying the Badgers a chance to claim the regular season championship outright.

On Sunday night, Illinois defeated Iowa in a dramatic 74–72 win that earned the Illini a share of the Big Ten championship and the top overall seed in the next conference tournament. The top four of basketball legends the bracket are completed by No. 2 Wisconsin (24–6, 15–5), No. 3 Purdue (25–6, 14–6), and No. 4 Rutgers (18–12, 12–8), respectively. With two games on Wednesday, the conference's bottom four clubs will get the season underway, followed by four games apiece on Thursday and Friday. The top four seeds will all receive byes into the quarterfinals, as will the top two seeds.
