On 17 July 2021, project manager Joanna and quantity surveyor Sid wed within the bride's parent's garden in St Mary around the breathtaking Jersey coast. The outdoor wedding and marquee reception were built with a simple and beautiful colour pattern of fresh white and soft green, combined with hot pink and coral. Every pretty, summery detail was captured by Daisy the Photographer. Enjoy…

"It was the statement sleeves combined with a modern, classic dress. The material was beautiful also it felt so 70s chic. I also added extra sequin detail for added sparkle."

Joanna's veil was her 'something borrowed, loaned by her sister, pinned into her hair that was styled into relaxed, boho waves by The Parlour.

I adore the feel of bridesmaids in white, which girls' gowns were from Warehouse. The flower girls also wore full white flower girl dresses, these from Mango, together with delicate floral crowns. The pageboys were dressed up in outfits from FeelTimes.

Sid and Joanna met as teenagers and were raised together.

"We were engaged in Florence, Italy which was special. It is one of the most amazing cities in the world and our favourite country to go to. We'd been engaged for four years whenever we got married. We delayed while renovating our home and then Covid delayed it further."

The marriage ceremony was held outside using the dinner and evening party hosted inside a clear-sided marquee from Marquee Solutions.

The couple as well as their family added several extra details to the garden, which was already so beautiful using its greenery and trees.

Sid and Joanna were married by celebrant Lynsey Mallinson and exchanged rings from Rivoli Jewellers. The ceremony included two readings.

Before night fell, the newlyweds escaped towards the secluded beach for many wonderful, sun-filled portrait shots that emanate joy and happiness.

"It's tough to pick one part as our favourite but I loved whenever we jumped within our photographer's Mini they are driving down towards the beach at sunset."

"You can easily see the joy and freedom in every one of these photos. The decision to postpone was the toughest part but everything felt better following the decision is made."

"The day I was supposed to get married on became miserable weather but we still were built with a little get-together. Our big day had glorious weather also it felt like 2021 was intended to be our year. We were fortunate that people didn't have numerous restrictions – nothing that impacted your day."

Words of Wedded Wisdom

"Always attempt to remember what’s most significant about your day – the marriage part. Try to not sweat the little stuff. Not everything goes to plan however it doesn’t take anything away in the day."
