It was an amazing story that had many moments of ups and downs, tracing the story of multiple generations within the de Leon family. However, it was not one of happiness. The de Leon's story was filled with hardships, and escalated to the point of extreme after Vincenti's disastrous wedding to Anabella. The novel showed the way that insanity and selfishness by a single person can ruin the lives of thousands of others. A ferocious hatred, paired with a desire to retribution, could destroy even the most sweet love stories. However, regardless of how strong the forces of evil could be, the justice of God prevailed to all.

The camaraderie among the participants was touching, particularly when they took the best attention to their shepherd.
