Carrying behind it a quarter of a million units sold since its birth, 125,000 of which correspond to Europe since it arrived in 2014, are enough credentials to point to the new Yamaha MT-07 2021 as a successor to a best-selling model. It is one of Yamaha's most popular bikes, and the fretboard brand wants to keep it that way after this major renovation.

Its design evolves from that of the previous model, changing multiple elements of the bodywork, such as the headlight, the fairing, the side covers or the tank. For more riders they prefer to upgrade the moto with Yamaha MT 07 led headlight. The latter, 14 liters, is combined with the tapered handlebar (wider) and the new seat (located 805 mm from the ground) to offer a more upright and comfortable riding position.

This makes it an accessible motorcycle for most riders, something to which they also add its weight of 184 kilos and its engine, a 690cc twin-cylinder CP2 block that has been thoroughly updated and complies with Euro5 regulations: exhaust, injectors, intake ducts… The result is an even more linear response for its 73.4 hp and 67 Nm of maximum torque. Do not forget that, in addition, it is limited to A2, which will make many pilots with average experience opt for it.

Other details that stand out are the new LED indicators, the instrument panel with a dark LCD screen and the Michelin Pilot Road 5 tires as standard.
