Mercenaries are NPCs players can hire to fight alongside them and can be quite effective when properly equipped and supported. After completing the game, players will be given four mercenary selections to fight alongside them. However, it is inevitable a time will come when your companion needs healing or even takes a fall. In addition, they may also have important d2r items equipment on them you don’t want to lose. So Knowing how to heal and revive a mercenary in Diablo 2 Resurrected is very important. This guide will show you how to do it.

Luckily, healing your mercenary is an easy task. It all comes down to knowing your controls. Both PS4 and PS5 involve holding L2 and then pressing an HP potion with whatever direction you have set on the D-Pad.

On Switch, the controls are much the same. You need to press ZL with the D-Pad in the corresponding direction. PC has two ways you can do this. The simplest is by holding shift + 1/2/3/4. You can also heal the mercenary by dragging and dropping a potion from the inventory onto the mercenary portrait.

If your mercenary dies, you may want to bring them back to life. This can be done by talking to certain NPC characters in each act who will perform a revive for you. The people you need are the following:

Kashya in Act I
Greiz in Act II
Asheara in Act III
Tyreal in Act IV
Qual-Kehk in Act V

You must pay a large sum of up to 50,000 gold to do this. The higher the merc level, the more expensive it will be. This means you may also find that it offers diminishing returns. Cheaper alternatives may be to hire a new mercenary of a similar or higher level.
