While the impact of these changes remains to be determined the effects of these changes are among the strongest measures any studio has ever taken to stop external abuse of its systems in pursuit of real-world monetary gain with OSRS Gold. If they are successful, similar steps might be found in the MMO area in the future.

Jagex have announced, after 18 years as the PvP battlefield, Duel Arena will be going away from RuneScape and a new region has been added. RuneScape will be introducing Het's Oasis which will feature a completely new landscape, new skilling methods, and two new mini-quests you can try.

Today marks the start of the Oasis Restoration game, players will be faced in the renovation of the Duel Arena following a cataclysmic earthquake that has destroyed the entire area. Players must collaborate to transform the ruins of the arena from "a blood-soaked fighting pit where the greatest heroes have been staking their fortunes through one-on-one fights as well as a tranquil haven."

Players will help rebuild the region and perform daily tasks which earn them rewards in line with their achievements. The participants in the community event will receive exclusive event rewards including a brand new Crocodile pet, a title, wearables that are inspired by deserts, and Gators' shoes.

Following the two-week event for the community the newly constructed area will be renamed Het's Oasis is a place for studying and exploring with the latest training-related materials for people looking to increase their Agility farming and hunting skills.

"Heroes will also assist the God of Death in two Eye of Het mini-quests as they search Het's Tomb to find a powerful item that will aid in the quest of the gods who are young as part of the Elder God Wars saga," the press release reads.

In a fresh event that is running from now through Jan. 3, 2022, players will be able to have a brand new version of the classic "Partyhat" which is a item that was initially only offered during a Christmas celebration at the time of 2001. The original version was available in red, blue, yellow, green and white, RuneScape's "The Golden Party Hat Hunt" quest will give players the chance to unlock one of the popular cosmetics that has a metallic sheen.

Because the party hats were only available in limited numbers for a limited time, and are now no longer available anyone lucky enough to have one can sell them for billions in game coins with RuneScape Gold. Although the hats appear to be solely decorative and don't offer stat bonuses, they are now the priciest item available on the Grand Exchange, hitting the maximum price of 2.1billion gold in 2015.
