A huge piece of Yankees history is about to go up for sale by Danny Pinter Jerseys none other than Hall of Famer Reggie Jackson.
The Yankees icon decided to auction off the 10-foot letters that spelled out "Yankee Stadium" at the original Bronx ballpark, .
The letters sat atop the ballpark starting in 1976 and were removed letter- Indianapolis Colts T Shirts by-letter when the stadium shut down in 2008.The auction is going through Sotheby's and will take place on April 1.
"There were a few items I wanted to purchase before the old Yankee Stadium was torn down, including my old locker and a section of the black bleachers off of center field," Jackson Carson Wentz Jerseys said. "But I kept thinking about the stadium lettering, and if there was any way for me to own it. I ended up making an offer and was thrilled when it was Peyton Manning T Shirts accepted. It's been a privilege to own such a recognizable piece of baseball history."
AP reported the going price for the letters is expected to be between $300,000 to $600,000.
Potential buyers will have to think of where to put the letters. Aside from being 10 feet, they are2 to 10 feet in width, light up electric blue and are made of Plexiglas and aluminum.
