Final Fantasy XI Warrior Guide is designed to help new Warriors learn the game and become more effective in the most challenging aspects of the game. If you want to be a victorious Warrior, this guide is for you.

Warrior Basis

  • A Warrior is a front-line melee combatant capable of taking much damage and dealing out a lot of pain.

  • In most parties, the role of a Warrior is to take the brunt of the damage from monsters while protecting his allies in the back.

  • A Warrior has many roles in a party, which will be covered in detail later.

  • Warriors are also equipped with powerful weapons that allow them to deal incredible damage to their enemies.

  • Another important aspect of being a Warrior is to have a high HP and defense rating, so you can take as much damage as possible for your party.

One of the most overlooked aspects of being a Warrior is the role of a healer. Although this is not your main role, knowing how to heal yourself and your allies is very important. As a Warrior, you have access to various healing spells that can help keep you alive during tough battles.

In addition, you can equip certain pieces of gear that can help you recover from damage more quickly. This section will also cover how to set up macros and gear sets for yourself so you can heal yourself and other party members in the middle of battle.

Warrior's Abilities

In Final Fantasy XI, the Warrior is an offensive powerhouse with a large variety of physical attacks and a few magical attacks. In addition, the Warrior can equip most weapons and armor. The Warrior's three primary stats are Strength, Agility, and Stamina.

The Warrior's main role is dealing damage to the enemy. They also can wear heavy armor and not be slowed down by it.

Warriors can use a variety of different weapons. They can equip axes, hammers, spears, and swords. They also can wield a shield that will increase their defense stats.

Warriors also have access to many different abilities that will allow them to deal even more damage to their enemies. These abilities are divided into three categories: Attack, Defense, and Support.

The Warrior's Attack Abilities

The first ability group is the Warrior's attack abilities. These abilities are used to deal more damage to enemies and are divided into two different categories: Primary and Secondary. The Primary skills are the first set of abilities that the Warrior can obtain. These abilities will be available starting at level 10 and require 2 Skill Points to unlock. At level 20, the Warrior will gain access to the Secondary abilities, which require another 1 Skill Point to unlock.

Primary Abilities:

1. Cleave

  • Required Level: 10

  • Prerequisite Skills: None

The Warrior's first Primary ability is Cleave. Cleave will allow the Warrior to swing their weapon twice in quick succession dealing AOE damage to all enemies in a small area. This ability is best used when surrounded by multiple enemies as it will hit all of them.

2. Critical Strike

  • Required Level: 10

  • Prerequisite Skills: None

The second Primary ability is Critical Strike. Critical Strike will increase the Warrior's chance to strike critically by 5% and then allow the Warrior to deal massive damage against an enemy (or enemies) when they critically strike. This is a beneficial ability when faced with single targets because it increases the chance of doing massive amounts of damage against them.
