To achieve certification to ISO 22000:2018, an organization must:

·         Develop and implement a food safety management system that meets the requirements of the standard.

·         Conduct a hazard analysis and identify the critical control points (CCPs) in the food production process.

·         Implement control measures to prevent or minimize food safety hazards at each CCP.

·         Develop and implement a food safety management plan that includes procedures for managing food safety incidents and emergencies.

·         Train employees on food safety management system requirements and procedures.

·         Monitor and measure the effectiveness of the food safety management system.

·         Continually improve the food safety management system based on monitoring and measurement results.

To achieve certification, an organization must undergo an audit by an accredited third-party certification body. The audit will evaluate the organization's food safety management system against the requirements of the ISO 22000:2018 standard. If the organization meets the requirements, the certification body will issue a certificate of compliance. The organization must also undergo regular surveillance audits to maintain certification.
