How do I change the opening balance in Quicken?
Non-investment accounts
- Open the account you want to use.
- Find the first transaction in the register. (You may need to scroll up.)
- Select the transaction.
- Click the Depositfield, change the amount, and then click Save.
Investment accounts
- Open the account you want to use.
- Find the first transaction in the transaction list. (You may need to scroll up.)
- Select the transaction.
- Click Edit, use the investment transaction dialog to change the opening amount, and then click Enter/Done.
