The Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences was established in 2006. Its strategic positioning is to fully push itself into the technology market, establish new enterprises or provide technical support for existing enterprises, and focus on industrial technology research. In the 6 years since its establishment, it has incubated 60 strategic emerging companies, of which 5 have reached 1 billion yuan in scale. Facing the general problem of "difficulty in transforming scientific and technological achievements", the Advanced Institute has found a successful path to promote the industrialization of scientific and technological achievements through institutional innovation, which has attracted widespread attention from the industry.

The health examination bed is a major research result of the Advanced Institute. Advanced Institute takes low-cost health equipment as the research and development focus, and developed the first health examination bed in the world: as long as lying on it for 15-20 minutes, multiple examinations can be completed. On this basis, the Advanced Institute has developed fully modular container mobile house clinics and container mobile house hospitals, and built small and complete "hospital hardware". So far, more than 700 villages and more than 30 township hospitals in 30 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities have used this equipment.

According to Fan Jianping, Dean of the Advanced Institute, the Advanced Institute is actively developing high-tech enterprises in the four fields of biomedicine and health engineering, cloud computing and Internet of Things, new energy and new materials, and robotics. At present, industrialization is beginning to take shape. The total scale of the incubators in each field of the Advanced Institute exceeds 1 billion yuan, becoming a new force in the development of strategic emerging industries in the Pearl River Delta and even my country.
