MINExpo shows the world that it’s not just surviving, but thriving in the midst of a down market. In a statement of relief and pride, MINExpo CEO Jim Williams said “The industry has shown an incredible amount of resilience during these difficult times. We’re proud to be a part of that.” In the face of a turbulent year, MINExpo International set out to establish itself as an industry leader in resilience and exceed even its own expectations.The world has experienced a seismic shift in the mining industry since the beginning of last year. MINExpo – The International Mining Exposition, held recently in Las Vegas, demonstrated that resiliency remains a core attribute for our industry.As the show got underway, there were signs of resilience with more than 20% of the booths already sold and exhibitors in high spirits. Classes of buyers were represented at MINExpo with a robust attendance from end users including construction contractors, mines, mill operators and engineering firms.MINExpo has been through some hard times, but it's still around, and has even found ways to turn things around.
