  • Progestins are a class of hormones that are often used in transgender hormone therapy. They can help to suppress testosterone production, and they also have feminizing effects on the body. There are many different types of progestins, and each one has its own unique set of benefits and drawbacks. Some common progestins used in transgender #hormone #therapy include medroxyprogesterone acetate (MPA), norethindrone acetate (NETA), and dienogestrel (DNG).

MPA is a very popular progestin for transgender #hormone therapy because it has strong anti-androgenic effects. It can help to reduce testosterone levels significantly, which can lead to breast growth, decreased facial hair growth, and other feminizing effects. However, MPA can also cause some side effects such as weight gain, mood swings, and headaches.

NETA is another common #progestin that is often used in transgender hormone therapy. It has similar anti-androgenic effects as MPA but tends to cause less weight gain and mood swings. However, NETA may not be as effective at suppressing #testosterone levels as MPA is.
DNG is another popular progestin that is sometimes used in transgender hormone therapy . Like NETA , DNG has anti -androgenic properties , but it also seems to have estrogenic properties . This means that it can help with things like breast growth , bone mineral density improvement , fat redistribution , etc . DNG does not seem to cause the same level of side -effects as MPA or NETA do; however, more research needs to be done on this particular #drug

  • There are a few different types of 5 alpha reductase inhibitors (5ARIs) available on the market, each with their own benefits and drawbacks. #Finasteride (#Proscar) and dutasteride (#Avodart) are the most commonly prescribed medications in this class. They work by blocking the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT), which is responsible for many of the masculinizing effects of testosterone. This can be helpful for transgender women who want to reduce their levels of DHT and achieve a more feminine appearance.

However, there are some potential side effects associated with these medications. Finasteride can cause breast enlargement and tenderness, while dutasteride may increase the risk of developing prostate cancer. Additionally, both #drugs can cause decreased libido and erectile dysfunction in men. For this reason, they should only be taken if absolutely necessary and under close medical supervision.

When I were roaming at around Koteshwor- Balkumari Pool in Kathmandu a day before yesterday.

A guy was returning room most probably after his school while a girl on a scooty started teasing him from behind.⠀

I stopped there and started to watch the moment.
    ⠀⠀
She asked for his number and address.⠀
While the guy was peacefully ignored her and kept walking.⠀

After not getting any attention, she speed her scooty and went to him again.

When I asked the guy, why didn't you say anything?⠀

    He said, दाई के भनम ? केहि बोल्थ्ये भने उनी कराउन थल्थ्यिन् र फेरि यहाँ का जनता मलाई कुट थिए।

And It hit me. Before that one of my friends comment on me because of my post. I'm not going to open his name. I ignored him and I told, I'll belief you when I saw something like this myself and I did.

Whatever my friend said was completely correct.
    It happens in our country.⠀

We might fail to protect our daughters. We might fail to make them feel secure.⠀

But We never fail when we get a chance to sympathise a girl doesn't matter If she's wrong or right.

    Don't do it.⠀
Don't discriminate harassment on the basis of gender.⠀
No matter who does it, They deserve the same treatment.⠀

And in no way, I'm saying that Every girl is the same but the ones who are this article is for them.⠀

So, If it offends you, Change yourself.⠀

    Also,⠀⠀
No one deserves to be harassed whether its A Girl, A Boy or A transgender.⠀

Be a Human instead of being a disgrace on the name of humanity🙏🏻
