The mayor of Ampelokipi Menemeni spoke about the enormous contribution of Dimitris Karapantsios and his family to the area where the eponymous foreign language organization was "born" 50 years ago and has always developed with West Thessaloniki as a point of reference. The donation of 300,000 euros to the municipality was a catalyst for the construction of the eponymous Cultural Center which, since March 2016, has been hosting theater performances, concerts, operas, film screenings, conferences, painting and photography exhibitions and many other cultural events showcasing culture and attracting crowds of people every year from all over Thessaloniki.
