Since then he couldn’t go back to home because of Pandemic. He was bored staying in Kathmandu so he joined us on Manaslu and he made it to the summit. He used to be 150kg last year and now he is of 100kg and still getting fit and fast.

  • Scenes from the #summit of #Manaslu Mountain as a climber on the regular summit peers around the corner to see #Mingma G pushing the limits to the true summit, which became a popular route this year.
Mingma G - Says That’s me leading the way to true summit and my team waiting at the ridge. It wasn’t a difficult way and I am sure Manaslu will be climbed to true summit from now on……

    GRADE: EASY TO MODERATE
    PHYSICAL RATING:
HIGHEST ACCESS POINT: 3210M (POON HILL)
    CULTURE: GURUNG, MAGAR
HIMALAYAN SIGHTS: DHAULAGIRI, FISHTAIL, ANNAPURNA RANGE, MANASLU, NILGIRI ETC
MOST ATTRACTION: CLOSE MOUNTAIN VIEW, VILLAGES

    DETAILS LOOK:
DAY: 1 POKHARA DRIVE TO NAYAPUL - TREK TO TIKHEDHUNGA [1540M]
A scenic 1 hour drive from Pokhara takes us to the starting point of our trek. Crossing the suspension bridge over the Modi Khola River, we ascend slowly through terraced fields and classic mountain villages. Along the way we will encounter mule or goat caravans carrying supplies to the mountains, heralded by the musical bells they wear. The stunning peaks of Machhapuchare and Annapurna peaking over the green ridges will greet us from time to time as we continue up to Tikhredhunga.

DAY 2: TREK FROM TIKHEDHUNGA TO GHOREPANI [2775M]
Today begins with a real heart-starter! We have a steep ascent to get us going and then a more gradual uphill walk takes us to our camp at Ghorepani. We will pass through some delightful villages and the beautiful, dense rhododendron forest so characteristic of Nepal at these altitudes! If the weather is clear we will see stunning mountain views from Ghorepani, making the climb well worth it! At Gorepani, we are on the main Annapurna Circuit route and there are likely to be lots of travellers passing through this ridge-top settlement in both directions. Ghorepani literally means "horse water" and is a popular stopping place for the mule trains which ply the route from Pokhara to Jomsom and beyond. The impressive peak which can be seen across the broad valley of the Kali Gandaki to the northwest is Dhaulagiri.

DAY 3: SUNRISE AT POON HILL (3200M) – TREK TO TADAPANI [2650M]
It is an absolute must for those who stay at Ghorepani to make the walk up to the celebrated view point of Poon Hill [3195m], which overlooks the village. Dawn is the best time to go so we arrange a wake up call for 5 am and head up the well marked track by torchlight. The first light of dawn illuminates Dhaulagiri and Tukuche Peak with a surreal pink glow.
You may be able to buy coffee and breakfast from an enterprising local who has carried his produce up to Poon Hill to take advantage of the morning trade. Otherwise, we return to Ghorepani for breakfast, before trekking on to Tadapani through rhododendron forest. If we are lucky we will see some wild animals, such as langur monkeys climbing through the trees. There are excellent views of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli and Machhapuchhare from Tadapani.

DAY 4: TADAPANI TREK TO GHANDRUK [1950M]
From Tadapani the trail descends through beautiful forests to Ghandruk, which is a stunning village of Gurung people, one of Nepal’s most famous ethnic groups, known for their distinctive dialect, culture, costume, and life style. Ghandruk is also home to many soldiers from the famous Gurkha regiments. From here we can have stunning views of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Gangapurna, Annapurna III and Fishtail.

DAY 05: GHANDRUK TREK TO NAYAPUL AND DRIVE TO POKHARA
We can enjoy a final down hill walk through forest and villages for about 5 hrs to Nayapul. From here we drive for about 1 hour back to Pokhara where our trek ends and we can enjoy a shower and relax on this stunning lakeside town enjoying the memories!

  • Annapurna Circuit Trek, Annapurna Trekking, Trekking in Annapurna, Thorong pass trekking, thorong pass trek, thorong la, popular trek in the world, manang trek,Few place in the world such a splendid variety of natural beauty as the Annapurna region. It is rare combination of long array of snow capped peaks, crystal clear lakes, turbulent rivers with deep gorges, hot springs and picturesque villages inhabited by simple and friendly local people. This three-week trek takes you far way from the road, in to the heart of the high mountains.

It is said that Annapurna Circuit/Round is one of the famous trekking routes in the world. The trek around the Annapurna Massif is one of the finest in the Himalayas and is reguarly described as one of the top ten treks in the world It is observed that about 64% of the trekkers who come every years Nepal for trekking visit Annapurna regions of Nepal. So it is the most trekked area of Nepal. Annapurna area/region offers a great variety of beautiful landscapes, nature & culture of the central Himalayan area of Nepal with the best & splendid Himalayan panorama of Mt. Annapurna, Mt. Fishtail, Mt. Manaslu, Mt. Nilgiri, Mt. Hiun Chuli and several other mid western Himalayan ranges of Nepal . From the heights of the pass we descend to Muktinath and its scared Buddhist and Hindu Shrines. Further south, the contrasts of the Nepal Himalaya become even more apparent, as high windswept passes are replaced by forests, or mandarin and banana groves. Finally we trek out of the gorges and look back to the peaks of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri, before traversing the forest ridges down to Pokhara.

On the way we would have passed through every type of vegetation zone from lush sub-tropical to harsh semi-desert and passed over one of the highest trekking passes in the world. We will have entered a world without roads or cars and witnessed the way people have worked, played and survived for hundreds and hundreds of years. We would have essentially walked through a time warp coming out the other side with a deeper understanding of ourselves and the world we live in.

  • Gorkha Durbar:
This historical palace is situated on the top of the fortified hill above the township, about one hour's walk uphill from the bus station. On the west side of palace is the temple of Goddess Gorakhkali. There is also a famous cave sheltering the statue of Gorakhnath Baba (sage). It is believed that the name of Gorkha was derived from the name of this sage, whose blessings inspired King Prithvi Narayan Shah for the unification of Nepal. From the top of the hill above Gorkha palace and from a saddle east of the bazaar, the view of Manaslu and Himalchuli is spectacular.

  • Gorkha, Nepal
Gorkha is a scenic hill- town with great historical significance.
Gorkha (pop. 20,600) is a hill town 110 km east of Pokhara. It is 23 km from the turnoff at Abu Khaireni which lies about midway between Pokhara and Kathmandu. As the ancestral seat of the Shah dynasty and home of the original Gurkha soldiers, Gorkha is a national pilgrimage spot. Its centerpiece is the 17th-century Gorkha Durbar, which is a fort, a palace and a temple with excellent views of the Manaslu range. A side-trip to the hilltop temple of Manakamana is in order. It can be reached by hiking from Abu Khaireni (three hours) or by cable car from Cheres on the main highway (96 km from Pokhara). (Temperature 7-36 degrees Celsius.) King Prithvi Narayan Shah, who unified the kingdom of Nepal during eighteenth century, was born in the township of Gorkha. Situated on a small hillock at an attitude of about 1000 m, Gorkha offers panoramic view of snow-fed mountain.
