If you're going to experiment with illegal narcotics, psychedelic mushrooms are your best chance – aside from the legal concerns, of course. According to a new poll of about 120,000 individuals from 50 countries, just 0.2 percent of those who tripped on mushrooms ended up in the emergency department. In comparison, LSD, ecstasy, and cocaine sent at least five times the number of users to the emergency room. By this metric, even marijuana, which is often viewed as a harmless substance, is three times riskier than mushrooms.

Psilocybin, the euphoric component found in magic mushrooms, primarily acts on the brain's serotonin receptors. Trippers frequently report feeling ultra-creative, extra emotional, and more in sync with nature and their surroundings – comparable to the effects of LSD, but less powerful and enduring. "Although psilocybin mushrooms vary in size, shape, and strength throughout the world, they are very safe with few and relatively mild side effects documented," says Dr. Adam Winstock, a psychiatrist, addiction specialist, and founder of the annual Global Drug Survey.

Mushrooms are safe due to a number of factors. First and foremost, they are not physically or mentally addicted, according to Winstock. They are classified as a Schedule I substance in the United States because of their great potential for "abuse," yet you will not grow addicted to shrooms. Winstock, on the other hand, claims that you might quickly develop a tolerance to their effects and may need to take bigger amounts to achieve a nice trip.

Even if you take a big dose, you should be alright. "Unlike depressive medications like heroin and alcohol, which have a predicted rise in fatality risk with higher dosages owing to respiratory depression," Winstock explains. "A higher dose of psilocybin improves the intensity and length of the psychedelic experience, but there are no associated changes in heart function or respiration."

People are also less likely to utilize the mushrooms. "While drinkers and cannabis users use 100 to 200 times per year on average, most individuals take magic mushrooms and other psychedelics just two or three times per year, if at all," Winstock explains. He adds that the fewer frequently you use a substance — any drug — the lower the danger of injury. Among the other psychedelics studied in the survey, however, "golden teachers mushroom were associated with the lowest rates of bad or problematic experiences," according to Winstock. "Toxic death is nearly unheard of."

However, mushrooms are not without peril. "Magic mushrooms, like other drugs, present a considerable risk when coupled with alcohol or taken in unsafe or unfamiliar contexts," Winstock explains. "The most prevalent hazards include unintentional injury, panic, brief bewilderment, disorientation, and the fear of going insane." In other words, a disastrous journey. But, even if you're locked in mental agony for a while, you'll ultimately emerge out of it. And as long as you don't do anything that may cause you or someone else physical injury (another reason to never trip alone), you should be OK.

One caveat: You must be careful not to eat the wrong type of mushroom. "Fortunately, most mushrooms are not toxic," Winstock explains, "but there are some outliers." "If you eat a Death Cap, which may be mistaken for a common field mushroom, you will suffer renal and liver failure and a 50% risk of dying." He goes on to say that other mushrooms that might hurt you have similarly ominous names, such as the Destroying Angel. Only buy or utilize mushrooms from people who know what they're searching for, according to Winstock.

When it comes to doses, always start modest. "Because strength varies, I recommend test-dosing and moderate dose increases, especially for inexperienced users," Winstock explains. You should feel anything within a half hour or 45 minutes, but if an hour or 90 minutes pass and you still don't feel anything, you definitely didn't take enough. Most excursions peak about 2.5 hours, last four or five hours, and then gradually fade away, sending you back to Earth. if you want to get more information, please visit the website https://fantasyshrooms.ca/
