PVC Foam is a lightweight, compressed foam board used extensively in the display and exhibition industry. The material is generally used in short term print and signage applications, or as backing board to exhibition and pop up display creations.

PVC, or Polyvinyl chloride, is the world's third-most widely produced synthetic plastic polymer (Wikipedia) and as a sheet product it is available in a

1. A 'rigid' pvc sheet - a stiff, hard and rigid pvc sheet usually supplied gloss one sided and matt other side
2. A compressed foam pvc sheet - a ligthweight, slightly flexible pvc sheet that has a softer surface
3. A lightweight foam centred sheet, or 'foam' board - a springy foam centre board covered on both sides by a harder skin

Rigid pvc sheets have a more industrial type application and are used commonly in engineering and construction like chemical tank construction, window frames and door frames and also everyday items like bank cards. Pvc fian sheets, as mentioned above are used throughout signage, exhibitions and display and provide excellent properties like hard wearing, formability and easy work processing and machining. They are particularly popular for use in 3D lettering where thicker PVC sheet are routered to create shapes or latter that out or stepped off the underlying substrate.
