All citizens besides US citizens, Britain and Canada will need a passport that is valid for a minimum of 45 days from the expected departure date from Bermuda.

Limitation of 45 days validity does not apply to US, British and Canadian citizens ... they can travel with passports as long as they are valid until the date of their departure from Bermuda.

The passport must have a minimum of one blank page that will be labeled by the Bermuda Immigration Department marks the date of arrival and departure. However, the Bermuda Department of Immigration recommends more pages that are not used than one. If you have expired passport then must apply for passport renewal.

In addition to passports, you will need the following travel documents to visit Bermuda:

• Flight tickets for return/and so on are valid (if you are traveling by air) or shipping reservation that shows that you have a return/next goal that has been ordered on your travel plan.

• If you are not a citizen of the US, England or Canada, you must have a multi-entry transit visa to one of the three countries through it you transit to Bermuda, and this transit visa must be valid for a minimum of 45 days from your departure date from Bermuda. This transit visa requirement does not apply to US, British and Canadian citizens.

Passport exception

While all foreign nationals must bring a valid passport to enter Bermuda regardless of shipping or air travel, there are exceptions to US citizens as mentioned below.

For US residents in the closed cruise loop (eg. The trip back trip directly to Bermuda began and ended at the same port in the US), valid documents including 1) passports, or 2) passport cards, or 3) combination of evidence of citizenship and the US government take out a photo ID. 

Warning

While US citizens on closed loop shipping can travel to Bermuda with a US passport card or by using proof of citizenship and photo ID, note that it is highly recommended that someone uses a regular passport book for such an international trip, because the passport card is like that or other alternative documents not accepted in air journey. 

And for some emergency reasons or other, if you need to travel back to the US through the air, you will not be able to do it without a passport book. Passport renewal is good to start a new journey.
