Material Analysis of Plastic Chair Products by Chair Molds Manufacturers

Polypropylene is a non-toxic, odorless and tasteless milky white high crystalline polymer with a density of only 0.90--0.91g/cm3. It is one of the lightest varieties of all plastics and is particularly stable to water. The water absorption rate in water is only 0.01%, the molecular weight is about 80,000~150,000, and the formability is good. However, due to the large shrinkage rate (1%~2.5%), thick-walled products are easy to dent. For some parts with high dimensional accuracy, it is difficult to Meet the requirements, the product surface gloss is good, easy to color.

Polypropylene is a thermoplastic resin polymerized from propylene. It is relatively heat and corrosion resistant. Its low density makes it the lightest general-purpose plastic. But it gets old easily. Its melt mass flow rate (MFR) is usually 1-100. Low MFR PP materials have better impact resistance but lower elongation strength. For the same MFR material, the impact strength of the copolymer type is higher than that of the homopolymer type. Due to crystallization, the shrinkage rate of PP is quite high, generally 1.6~2.0%.
