There are many high elfs who chose to follow the Kael'thas. Some sought refuge with the Kirin Tor, a group of mages that are located within the town of Dalaran with wow tbc classic gold. These elves remained under their names and remained part of the Alliance however, the overwhelming majority of survivors of Arthas' assault travelled with Kael'thas ' path to WoW's devastated world of Outland, which was the Orcs' homeworld, where Illidan Stormrage ruled. Illidan provided the blood elves the ability to limit their mana drawbacks through the fel method, a form that was dangerous and volatile magic employed to defeat members of the Burning Legion to destroy life.

The lore of the game is that on a lore-related note, Alliance and Horde have finally reached what seems to be a long-lasting truce to the end of World Warcraft's latest expansion, Battle for Azeroth. Even though hostility is likely to remain due to previous conflicts, it is likely that the days of total war between the two factions is all but over. However, whether there'll be orcs wandering around the streets of Stormwind as well as humans riding on wyverns, is yet to be confirmed.

The side effects of using fel were minimal, only creating blood eyes of the elves in a greenish hue instead of blue and they were able to solve their most pressing issue. Illidan's goal was for him and all his followers to make use of the fel in a non-exclusive manner and as a weapon against the Burning Legion. Instead, Kael'thas sought another way to acquire greater power. He began to get angry towards Illidan and affiance Kil'Jaeden, one the leaders in Kil'Jaeden, one of the masters in the Burning Legion. In time, madness seeped into his soul and he was destroyed making his followers without any leader.

Fortunately for the blood elves that was the exact moment, in The WoW expansion The Burning Crusade that the Horde and Alliance ventured into Outland to put an end to the Legion's schemes. Naturally the sin'dorei were suspicious against the Alliance and weren't in a rush to rejoin their former comrades, so the logical choice was to support the Horde to form a powerful partnership. The then Warchief, Thrall, was pleased to accept the blood elves into the Horde's ranks admiring their skill and determination. A new leader, Lor'themar Theron was appointed regent in place of a monarch, and then he brought his troops back to Azeroth in tandem with their new unlikely allies.

It's been a long time in World of Warcraft with the blood elves being part of the Horde, and although at times their connection with the faction was difficult, the sin'dorei have proved to be valuable allies with Burning Crusade Classic Gold. Lor'themar's family and friends suffered more than most but the scars of those events linger in the collective psyche of all blood elves. Their animosity towards Wrath of the Lich King's Alliance faction has waned as time passes but it's not likely that they'll ever agree to unite with them or even for a long time. Furthermore, the blood elves realize that they appear better when they're red.
