While Christmas is still a few weeks away, it's not too early to start planning for the New Year's Evening dresses. Now that we're in the waning days of 2022, we can't wait to start anew when the new year arrives. It's important to look your best on New Year's Eve, whether you're hosting a modest party or staying in for a quiet vacation. It's customary to wear one's finest dress and have a feast in honour of New Year's Eve. Putting on an appropriate outfit for the event is a surefire way to lift your spirits and increase your self-assurance.

Buy yourself a shiny new frock to wear to New Year's celebrations. Be cautious about the products you buy if you care about sustainability. Consider all the numerous events you'll be attending this summer, holidays, and lunches you can wear this outfit to. You can trust that every piece of clothing handpicked by Goddiva will be an heirloom-quality addition to your wardrobe.

Perhaps you've already planned out your outfit for New Year's Eve. Maybe that's your usual dress-and-heels getup, or alternatively, it may be your favourite blouse and jeans. Anything you wear will probably do the trick, but if you want to appear your very best, there are a few guidelines you should follow. Because, really, who doesn't want a great wardrobe?

We spoke with Goddiva stylist Miss Rhea to get the lowdown on how to look your best on New Year's Eve, and he shared the following six guidelines. You might be familiar with some of these tips (and implement them!) while others are novel and worth trying out this time of year. To read on, scroll down. In addition, you can shop for garments with a New Year's Eve theme. Everything is designed to appeal to a wide range of tastes.

It's Important to Keep in Shape

"I like to stick to a fabric-to-fit combination, in which understated textiles go with a precise cut and bolder ones drape off the body. Velvet with a high thread count is form fitting. Rhea defines "gold metallic lamé" as "loose."

Stand Out

Rhea advises us to stand out from the crowd by dressing in a way that deviates from the standard holiday attire. A silk pantsuit or jumpsuit in a deep hue is a welcome departure from the usual crop tops and miniskirts that women favour, and they provide the added bonus of being more comfortable than the restrictive bodycon styles that are all the rage right now.

Wear either block or platform heels.

Shoes with a platform or block heel are a tribute to retro elegance while also keeping comfort in mind, and there is a secret to wearing high heels without any pain. Rhea warns, "Don't take off your shoes under any circumstances."

Choose One Outstanding Work

It's too much when I see women wearing a dazzling dress, loads of jewellery, and shiny cosmetics all at once, as Rhea puts it. Wearing a tuxedo blazer with skinny jeans and drawing attention to one prominent piece of your outfit (like a fantastic pair of earrings) is a nice example of a stylistic juxtaposition.

Accept Things That Have Motion

Rhea says, "I've styled a lot of party looks, and one of my favourite things to incorporate is anything with movement." On the dance floor, fringe and feathers look fantastic.

Experiment with Strange Sequences

Rhea advises us to "wear sequins, and you should, unexpectedly,” meaning that we shouldn't expect to see them on anyone. Instead of skintight miniskirts, try a pair of hip pants instead.
