The domestic airport of Dehradun is Jolly Grant Airport. Several Delhi to Dehradun flights and vice versa operate daily which makes it convenient to travel. The airport is at a distance of 20 km from the airport. The flight ticket from Delhi to Dehradun varies as per the air carrier and the time when you are flying. Travelers can board the flight from Indira Gandhi International Airport and reach Dehradun within 50 minutes if it is a non-stop flight.  

  1. By Train:

Travelers can reach Dehradun from Delhi via train as well. Several trains leave daily from different railway stations in Delhi, i.e. Kashmere Gate, Sarai Rohilla, and Nizamuddin. It connects with Dehradun terminal Railway station, which can be reached within 6 hours of duration. The charges for train tickets also vary as per the train and class in which you are traveling.

The National Highway number 58 connects Delhi with Dehradun. The total travel time is around 5 hours depending upon the traffic. One can go via private car or opt for buses that regularly go to and fro. Thus, travelers can conveniently reach Dehradun without any hassle.

Renowned as the top most visited destination in Dehradun, Sahastradhara waterfall is known for the therapeutic and medicinal value it imparts to the people taking a dip in it. A beautiful site; one can also sit there for hours and enjoy the waterfall.  

  1. Robber’s Cave

A popular destination in Dehradun, Robber’s Cave is a river cave naturally formed near the foothills of the Himalayas. Located around 8 km from Dehradun city, the locals also refer to this place as Gucchu Pani. Several stories mention Robber’s Cave to be the abode of Lord Shiva. The most intriguing part about this cave is that the river starts flowing from the middle part of the cave. Nothing is ahead of this middle point, making it an astonishing place.
